Glass Flower Jewelry Party

Recently I got together with my girlfreinds to make jewelry with gorgeous glass floral beads.   This is the necklace, it's very long....

The beads are pretty hard to source; some are from French General, some from etsy.   Most of them are vintage.  The lucite (and fake lucite) ones are from those places, plus Michaels had some briefly.
The bracelets came out so wonderfully!   They took a couple of hours each, and it was fun to put together while we all chatted.   Somewhere I have a pic of theirs too, if I find it I'll post it   >.<

Santos Love

One of my new (somewhat guilty) pleasures is Santos cage dolls; so called because most of them have cages for legs.

I find them so evocative and mysterious...as though they have hidden worlds inside, as do we all.  They were originally Spanish saint carvings, but these are all inexpensive reproduction ones.

Adding new bits and bobs to them is part of the fun, and a convenient place to put things I've made recently.  They genially watch over my art room from the fireplace mantle.
